Did you know Vodafone the Mobile network company also manufactures Smartphones.

 

VODAFONE’S FIRST ANDROID DEVICE

Its first Android smartphone “Vodafone 845” was released in Apr-May 2010 running Android version 2.1 (Eclair)

Quick Specs: 2.8 inch screen, 240 x 320 pixels, 3.15 MP rear camera, 128 MB RAM, 512 MB internal memory, expandable memory up to 16 GB via micro SD, 1200 mAh battery with WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G support.

The journey continued, Vodafone had begun manufacturing smartphones.

Their flagship was under the series “Vodafone Smart”

The first of those was “Vodafone 858 Smart”

Vodafone 858 Smart – released in June 2011 running Android version 2.2 (Froyo)

Vodafone V860 Smart II –  released in June 2012 running Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread)

Vodafone Smart III 975 –  released in June 2013 running Android version 4.1 (Jellybean)

Vodafone Smart 4 – released in May 2014 running Android version 4.4.2 (Kitkat)

 Other variants of Smart 4 series were – Smart 4 ( mini, power, turbo, max )

Vodafone Smart first 6 –  released in May 2015 running Android version 4.4.2 (Kitkat)

Other variants of Smart 6 series were – Smart 6 ( prime, ultra, speed )

Vodafone made progress with the ” Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 ” It got featured among one of the best smartphone devices. It was released on June 2015 and was running Android Lollipop (5.1)

Quick Specs: 5.5 inch Full HD display, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, Snapdragon 615 chipset with Adreno 405 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal, expandable memory up to 64 GB.

  • It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1
  • It has  a Spreadtrum 7731G chipset having Quad core clocked at 1.3 GHz
  • It has 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory, Memory can be expandable via Micro SD up to 128 GB
  • It supports 3G and HSPA+

 

2. SMART MINI 7

  • It has a 2 MP rear camera, VGA front facing camera
  • It runs on Android 6, Marshmallow
  • It has  a Mediatek MTK 6580M chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz
  • It has 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory, Memory can be expandable via Micro SD up to 32 GB
  • It supports 3G and 3.5G+

Another interesting feature is the Smart Platinum 7 has VR support.
